We are three couples all in our late 70's early 80's. We will be spending three days in Barcelona before we start our cruise. We need some hotel suggestions that are in a safe area, near restaurants and relatively accessible to the major (must see places) in Barcelona.
As most of us are from Florida the beaches aren't on the top of our Must do list. Would like the hotel to be reasonable in price but not low end. Any suggestions would be appreciated. .

Hotel Catalonia Portal de D'Angelo seems to fit your criteria. I've stayed there in the past and would definitely stay there again.

Highly recommend Hotel Praktik Rambla. Our room, in a beautifully restored historic building, was lovely as were the helpful staff. There is a small, quiet garden area (plus an indoor space as well) for relaxing with a bottle of wine…or the provided coffee and croissants in the morning. Walkable to all the major sites except Parc Guell. Looks to meet all your criteria. We loved our stay!

I recommend any of the H10 hotels. We stayed at the H10 Casanova in May before our cruise and it was lovely

H10 hotels are great.
Pick one near Placa Catalunya or in Eixample.
