I am travelling to Spain in 5 weeks and one of our stops is between Tangier -Algeciras - Gibraltar- Algeciras. We have less than 3 hours to visit the Rock. So we were thinking of hiring a driver or tour guide to pick us up at the Algeciras port and then take us to the Rock and then pack to Algeciras because we have to catch a train to Granada.
Any thoughts?

Two summers ago we took the train from Granada to Algeciras. We took a cab from Algeciras train station to Gibraltar. The cab ride was on the order of a half hour or so. This was before going through emigration at Gibraltar. We then took a cab into the "main" part of Gibraltar.
I think it took us an hour from the train into Gibraltar. I don't think that you accomplish much in three hours.
