Hello. My friend and I plan to bike, walk, and be transported along el Camino Norte starting in San Sebastián. We would like to transport ourselves and bikes from Villaviciosa to Sobrado dos Monxes, but doing so by bus or train is not an option. Does anyone have any experience with hiring a car and driver for a day? What companies are good? Approximate cost? Thank you!

That's a difficult one... No experience but I'll brainstorm.
- Perhaps you could hire a cab for most of the day (I'm thinking $500-700), but Villaviciosa is tiny - email the local tourist office maybe?
- Could you press on to Gijon, where you'd have more options? Including the option to rent your own car to drive to Lugo, or to take the slow train to Ribadeo and cab from there ($200 I reckon)?
- Or, would a Gijon-based car rental outfit be able to deliver a car to Villaviciosa, for you to drive to Lugo?

Blabla car is just a listing service where people find people who are going in the same direction...I wouldn't bet on it.
