Hiking In Spain

Will be in Southern Spain (Caceres, Sevilla, Ronda, Malaga, and Granada) end of March - April 20. Wanted to do some hiking. (moderate hiking). So far we have on our radar the following areas/parks:

Monfrague National Park
Donana National Park
Caminito Del Rey
El Torcal
Los Barruecos

Any other suggested parks/area to do some hiking? Also other than all trails any suggestions on books that might describe the various trails?

The Alpujaras region / Sierra Nevada National Park near Granada is another one to consider.

You would probably find Wikiloc useful for your planning. It's a Spanish app and has more gpx tracks for Spain than AllTrails. Cicerone Press publishes many useful guidebooks for trails in Spain. Some additional areas for walking with many trails shown on Wikiloc are Cazorla National Park, the Genal Valley just south of Ronda, and the Sierra Nevada National Park. I've sent you a private message that includes more information.

We walked in Los Barruecos, Monfrague, and Parque Natural del Tajo Internacional (near roman bridge/Alcantara). They were all fantastic.
Los Barruecos is mild walking just about anyone could do, but the rocks and storks make it very interesting.
Monfrague is amazing--pull up to the "rock" for lunch and to watch the raptors soar (it hums almost like it is otherworldly) and then go find a hike in the park. I'd like to return here and rent a cabin for stargazing.
We last went to see the Roman bridge and then did a stunning hike accessed right there. This area was so beautiful it is seared in my brain forever.

The park websites and Alltrails should be sufficient.
