Highway Tolls between Granada and San Sebastian

Hello, I am unable to get an idea of how much the tolls would cost us to drive from Granada to San Sebastian. If anyone knows a good resource, please let me know.

Mil Gracias!

About thirty bucks.

Toll roads are all labeled 'AP' on a map.

For your trip they won't start until up around Burgos. If you try to duck them, it's going to take almost half of that in gas and add maybe three hours.

The only toll roads right around Madrid that I can think of are out toward Segovia and Valladolid. Britt would be well east of these.

They don't takes pesetas either. I give outgo estimates in dollars since it corresponds to income, making cost evaluation easier. If I figured somebody was from Baoji, I'd switch to yuan out of common courtesy.

Use the A roads as much as possible. They're at least 95 percent as efficient (APs have a little higher speed limit) and will save you a bunch on tolls. viamichelin.com will give you the tolls along the route as well as estimate fuel costs.

The last leg from around Pamplona into San Sebastian only has an N road as an alternative to the toll roads. The N roads are about 70 percent as efficient because they go through rather than around towns. I still think they are useful to avoid tolls.

They only take Euros. Ed was right, via michelin estimates about 23 euros - so 30 dollars wasn't a bad guess.

If you're renting a car, rent a standard transmission diesel engine - they get mileage that is beyond believable.
