Help with travel route

Is this the correct route?

Friday to Monday Madrid 4 nights

Tuesday to Friday Sevilla 4 nights

Saturday to Monday Cordoba 3 nights

Tuesday to Wednesday Ronda 2 nights

Thursday to Saturday Granada 3 nights

Sunday to Thursday Barcelona 5 nights should I move one of these nights to another place such as Granada or Cordoba? I do plan on day trips from Barcelona.

Should I go from Madrid to Cordoba, then on to Sevilla? Will Cordoba be too quiet if we include it on Sunday? What are the easiest train routes between these locations? I do think I may try to fly from Granada to Barcelona or is it just easier to take train...? Thank you!

Assuming you’re asking about the order of the cities you intend to visit, since you don’t mention an actual route, what you have would work. The Madrid-Sevilla or Madrid-Córdoba-Sevilla route would depend on mode of transportation and whether you’re heading south from Madrid, or west and south through Extremadura. I always have a rental car, so can’t speak to the train routes.

If you are going by train, Madrid to cordoba to Seville makes more sense. We spent 3 nights in cordoba and that was enough. You could get away with 2 but we don’t like 1 or 2 night stays. We also stayed 3 nights in Granada and that was plenty. So I wouldn’t take a day from Barcelona.

Thank you Jaime and Barbara! We are taking trains... per your comments, I am changing the route to Madrid to Cordoba to Sevilla to Ronda to Granada to Barcelona. Any comments on the Ronda stop?

We thought one night in Ronda was enough. But I get the idea of minimizing one night stands and you clearly are a slower traveler. Refreshing! Most people try to "see" southern Spain in 5 nights. =)

Would you possibly want to steal a night form Ronda and Cordoba and see another city? Maybe Cadiz or Jerez? We didn't have enough time to see those so I'm just suggesting. Have no personal experience unfortunately.
