help with 2 week itinerary for a first timer

Hello,

We are planning a 2 week trip to celebrate our 10 yr wedding anniversary this October. We have never been to Spain and would like some feedback on our plan. Is it too much, not enough or just right?

We will arrive in Barcelona around noon on Saturday and stay for 4 nights.

On Wednesday morning we will take the train to Madrid and stay for 3 nights. We are thinking of doing a day trip on Friday but we haven't picked where yet.

On Saturday morning we will take the train to Sevilla and spend 4 nights. We would like to do a day trip to Granada and Alahambra - is this too far for a day trip?

On Wednesday we will fly to Palma de Mallorca and spend 3 nights, flying home on Saturday morning.

Are we missing any "must do" places? Should we scrap Granada and take the train from Madrid to Cordoba and spend 1 night then go on to Sevilla? So many choices....many thanks in advance for any help!!

Barcelona for 4 nights
Madrid for 4 nights (days to Toledo & Segovia)
Sevilla for 3 nights
Either, Palma de Mallorca for 3 nights
Or, Córdoba for 1 night and Granada for 2 nights

From Sevilla it's just not worth a day trip to Granada, with 3 hours travel each way.

Not only is Granada a long day trip from Seville, but it's difficult to coordinate. Your Alhambra tickets will have a strict entry time for the Nasrid Palace (miss it and you don't get in), and you then need to allow time before and after to see the rest of the complex.

If you want to see the Alhambra, plan at least one overnight in Granada. A good plan is to try to get tickets for the Alhambra for the morning after you arrive. This way, you see the Palace before it starts to fill up (although entry time is strict, once inside you can stay as long as you like).
