Help to Get from Seville-Granada-Madrid

Hi! We need help on our very tight schedule and need tips on how to do it since we are only in Spain for a short time but really would like to see the sights on a budget. We just want to do it on our own.
October 14-Fly from Marrakech to Seville- in Seville in the afternoon-Ryan Air direct flight-
stay near Cathedral?

October 15- Go around Seville-overnight in Seville-
Oct 16- Day trip to Alhambra, Granada? How do we get here? Do we go back to Seville or go to Madrid from here?
Oct 17- Train to Madrid in morning, go around Madrid
Thank you!
Oct 18- Fly back to Toronto- flight is at 10 am

You can't really do Granada as a day trip from Seville very easily. It is something like 3 hours each way and Alhambra tickets are timed and sell out early. The only way I see to do it as a day trip is to go thru a tour company who takes care of the logistics and transport for you. You could do this, I have not so can't recommend a company but I'm sure someone else can.

To do it yourself - take an early bus or train (whichever gets in earliest) to Granada. ALSA is the bus co I've used and the busses are comfortable and nice. Book Alhambra tickets months ahead for the afternoon - give yourself time to get from the bus station to the Alhambra. Get a hotel in Granada and take a train to Madrid the next morning.

If neither of these appeal to you consider a day trip from Seville to Córdoba. Granada is my favorite place in Spain but it is a hassle to get to on a short trip. If it's calling you by all means go even for a short visit. However, if it's just too much - Córdoba has the amazing Mesquita and is less than an hour from Seville.
