I read you Rome question and it makes no sense. This one makes less. If you in Madrid for one day, see Madrid. Again, need more information? What passport are you using?

I'm sorry, not sure I understand. Do you mean that you are spending two nights, January 26 and 27, in Madrid, but prefer to spend your one day seeing some other city? If I'm interpreting correctly, I'd go to Toledo. The train just takes 33 minutes.

I'm confused as well: if you have only one day for Madrid, that really doesn't leave you any time at all for "some other cities" on that same day?

We are using US passports. We Will be in Madrid afternoon of Jan 26 go around the area then we will go am to Toledo and be back afternoon and explore a little bit more of the City.
Is it safe to travel by train from Barcelona to Zaragoza at 5pm.
