Help figuring out itinerary - Sevilla, Cadiz, Malaga, Cordoba & Granada

Hello!

I’ll be in Spain for about 10 days in couple of weeks & plan to spend a good chunk of it in the south. I plan to finish my trip in Madrid (2-3 days) before flight back home. I was initially planning to go straight to Cadiz for the carnival festivities for couple of days, but now thinking of basing myself in Seville & doing a day trip to Cadiz instead. Where else can I, or rather should I do day trips to/from Seville? So far I’ve gotten the impression that I should do day trip to Cordoba & possibly spend couple of nights in Granada, before making my way back to Madrid. So to not overpack the trip, maybe skip Malaga?

I would appreciate any input & suggestions to fine tune the itinerary before I start booking trains & hotel. Any must sees or dos to keep in mind as I figure out plans?

Thank you.

What you writing is: 7-8 days in the south.
Just do Sevilla and Córdoba and enjoy life.

In September, on a 17 day trip through Andalucia, we spent three days in Seville, two in Cordoba and two in Granada. For us, that worked well. If you want to go more slowly, agree with prioritizing Seville and Cordoba. Enjoy!

For comparison, in March 2022, I spent 4 nights in Seville, 2 in Granada, 2 in Cordoba, 5 in Madrid. Compared to my trip Do you want to delete a night from Cordoba, or do Cordoba as a day-trip from Seville, and add one or more nights to Cadiz and/or Magala?

Have you bought plane tickets yet? Are you sure you want to squeeze in Madrid if you only are going to be there 2 or 3 days? Would you like to look for a round trip ticket to and from Seville and skip Madrid?
