Help! Alhambra tickets?

Dear Forum,
I goofed up and didn't reserve Alhambra tickets. Now they're sold out online. We need 2 tickets and could go Monday May 9 or Tuesday May 10.

I know, a real novice traveller mistake. We'll do anything to get in - tour or not, general admission, any time slot. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

If staying at a local hotel, contact the hotel. Some tickets are reserved for hotel guests. I think you just found out that the Alhambra is the most visited site in Spain - thing Disneyworld. And you just may be too late.

Try the bono card. http://en.granadatur.com/granada-card However, it looks like it may be sold out for the Alhambra on those days.

Also check viatour to see if they offer a guided tour on your dates

Also, there are slots for same day tickets. I'd research this, but if it opens at 8...get there at 6 and get in line. Preferably one person in each line - the line for the credit card machine and the line for the manned ticket desk. Whoever is in the faster line buys the tickets.

Finally, there may be tickets available for the gardens and fort - not the palace. Even if you can't get palace tickets, get the garden one and go up there. Heck, even without tickets you can wander around a bit (Charles V, museums in that area, views, the baths...) and go to the parador. Even that is worth it if nothing else is available

Sign up for a group tour. Possibly the Alhambra would have guided tour slots still available, or try South Ole Spain Tours (who we used for private driving/guiding), but they also do group tours.

Good luck!! It is a wonderful place to visit, and the gardens should be lovely this time of year!

A girl in our hostel last week went up at the crack of dawn and was able to get into the everything except Nasrid Palace. Better than nothing! Good luck :)

Thank you very much for helpful suggestions (and some comfort to me in the support!).

Tried every suggestion but no luck. Still checking around today to see if a tour has some slots. We will try the 6:00 am standing in line! If you visit the Alhambra next week and see a woman taking a quick nap under a tree, that's me.

Thanks again
Katherine

Did you check with your hotel?
We stayed at Hotel Puerta de las Granadas
[email protected]
and with short notice they got tickets for us.
The hotel is very nice and reasonably priced.
