Heliopolis neighbourhood in Seville

I am planning on spending 2 months in Seville next year. I have found an apartment in the Heliopolis neighbourhood. I can't seem to find too much about this area. I wonder if anyone knows this neighbourhood and can tell me a little about safety, access, and the general 'feeling' of the area.

Margaret,

If I were you, I'd contact the tourist information office in Sevilla and ask about which neighborhoods to avoid.

I just did a google search (in Spanish) & learned about a dangerous neighborhood to avoid, known as the "3000 viviendas" (three thousand homes), located in the southeast of Sevilla.

I've only visited Sevilla as a tourist, so stayed in the Barrio Santa Cruz near the cathedral.

Hopefully someone who really knows Sevilla will be able to answer your question.

If not, perhaps you should consider renting an apartment in a more centrally located neighborhood.
