I am going to Spain next year and realize I need a phone that will work IN Spain (to contact hotels, verify tours...that sort of thing). I don't need data, and probably not needing calls outside of Spain (unless emergency). I would appreciate any info anyone can give me on this company OR another one that may be better that you have actually used in Spain. My tracfone in the states does not travel to Europe, so I need something else. Any help? Thank you

What does that mean? If your phone is GSM capable and unlocked, all you need is a local SIM card. I used Lebara (bought at an independent cell phone store for €10 - the card uses English and connects to an English language web site or English speaking customer service number. ) and had no problems. Here's a link to services in Spain. if your phone is incompatible or can't be unlocked, buy an inexpensive, unlocked phone before you go and then get service in Spain. Check Amazon and eBay.
There might be an issue with buying a new phone in the US, not ever using it with a US SIM, then taking it to Europe. Or so I was told when I bought my (not cheap) Samsung phone a year ago. I had to transfer the SIM from my old phone and make a call with it before heading to Europe; I had planned just to leave the US SIM in the old phone (at home) while I was gone.
