I'm considering training from Madrid to Zaragoza, spending the night, and renting a car the next day to drive to the Pyrenees. How difficult might it be to drive from the train station to the outskirts of town? Anyone with experience driving in Zaragoza?
Nothing to it.
Not spending time in Zaragoza is a massive mistake, however.
Ok, Ed, I'm sold. We will stay in Zaragoza and see the sights. Any special recommendations? Is the Monasterio de Piedra Park wonderful, or slightly artificial, in your opinion? How 'bout the Palacio de la Aljeferia? Basillicas? Really appreciate your willingness to respond to these posts!
The park is a bit too well groomed for me and would eat up more time than it's worth.
The Aljeferia, Basilica, and cathedral are worth all the time you can give them.
The Roman wall and museum are okay, but not that different from many others.
The Aljeferia would get the most vigorous nod.
Super helpful advice once again, Ed. Thanks. We will put the Palacio de la Aljaferia at the top of our list for Zaragoza.
