Guide for Alhambra

Hello-
Can anyone recommend a guide for the Alhambra besides Margarita Ortiz de Landazuri as she is booked the day we are looking for.
We will be 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

Thank you.

In lieu of a guide, we purchased the tourist book that they sell at the Alhambra and many places in Granada, "The Alhambra and Granada in Focus". It was helpful for our stay in Granada and very helpful for our visit to the Alhambra. We liked looking at the guide prior to our visit to the Alhambra. It's full of info and lovely pictures, about 12 euro, and for me, a nice souvenir. I'd recommend getting it even with having a personal guide. Good luck, the Alhambra is amazing!

Did you ask Margarita for recommendations?

Do not use TripAdvisor or Viator. We had a confirmed and paid private guided tour arranged for our family of 6, and were texted the morning we were on the train to Granada that they needed to cancel the tour since they did not have the tickets!!! They even stated in the text that they were late to submit our information for the tickets and did not get them. We had no option to change our plans as we were already on the train enroute. When we contacted customer service we were hung up on TWICE. This was a once in a lifetime trip and one of the main reasons we wanted to visit Spain. It cost us a whole day of our trip and 6 train tickets. Do not use Tripadvisor or Viator.

We used Margarita last year, and she was great. We saw her being friendly to several guides on the trip, so my first thought would be to ask her directly for a recommendation.

We highly recommend Juan Antonio Ortiz Reberdito (mailto:[email protected]). He was referred by Margarita! Juan gave us a wealth of information at a nice, relaxed pace. Enjoy!!
