Guide/driver on Mallorca

My husband and I are planning to go to Mallorca when COVID is resolved. So it may not be anytime soon. I am doing homework now so I can be prepared to act when we are ready to go. We will be on Mallorca for about 5 days. We are not looking to drive. I understand that some places on the island do not have good public transportation access and a car is needed. Does anyone know of a private driver/guide for the island? I think a couple of days would be fine and then we can go where public transport can take us for the rest of the time. If anyone has suggestions, it would be most appreciative. Many thanks in advance for your replies.

The Tourist Information Office on Placa de la Reina in Palma is a pretty good resource for getting your bearings, collecting maps & pamphlets regarding local attractions, and helping you sort out the bus schedules if you want to explore on your own. They probably have a vetted list of local day trip providers and private guides as well.
Another place to look is on the "Things to do" pull-down menu on Trip Advisor. We've had good luck there finding private day trips at other destinations.
A pleasant and popular excursion is via the local narrow gauge train to the town of Soller, and then further on via a quaint little electric tram to Port de Soller. http://trendesoller.com/en/home/ It was one of our favorites day trips during our own stay on the island several years ago. It's a very picturesque little place - photo ops abound, great restaurants, and there's a nice little beach there if that interests you. It's a great place for strolling, and there are more ambitious hikes out into the countryside if you're feeling adventurous.
Be aware that Palma is a popular cruise port and that excursions like the one out to Soller can book up early when a ship is in. The workaround is to get an early start. As I recall you have to purchase your tickets on the day of travel (ie no reservations) from one of their kiosks so you'll need to plan ahead and get there early to avoid disappointment.

couple see and do things. as robert mentioned above, we took the train from palma to soller. enjoyed the ride to the small village, walked around, had lunch, people watched, stroll down to the beach.
getyourguide.com/scenice full day tour of mallorca from the north
withlocals.com/palma de mallorca day trips
scroll down a bit to the picture of guides, click name and you can contact them. ask them if the can do a personal tour for you and what they recommend and cost.
we were in geneva a year ago and talked to a taxi man while they were waiting for next ride. we wanted to see some of city and what he recommended. paid him like 100E for a 2 hour ride.
also stop at a tourism kiosk in piazzas and ask questions. they mave have a guide/drive to do a tour for you.
it is a busy cruise port, best to get started early before they all embark off the ship.
hope this helps and gives you some info to check out.

we used withlocals.com in paris. we were very happy with them. picked us up on time and learned about places and people never thought about. very interesting and informing. reserved and paid online. i don't think you can go wrong allowing a local show you the way in their neighborhood.
check eatwith.com/palma. maybe a lunch at locals home. "seafood paella in front of the sea in palma"
enjoy whatever you decide on.
