Grenada Alhamara?

I m hearing that tickets for Alhamra are all sold out. Will buying Gr.card not help? I read somewhere which I barely remember about this book store by the church carries the tickets. I m not sure about details properly. I will be in Grenada on 12 to 15 October.
After Grenada will be going to Malaga for 2 days.
To Seville for 5 days.
To Madrid 3 days( stayed for a month b4)
Which sites in all those places I should buy the tickets now b4 I fly from USA?

I just went to the ticket site and there are still tickets available for the 14th (checked for two people): https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/en/. If you do not secure tickets from the official site, you can look at taking a guided tour. If you wait until you are in Granada, you may miss out.

In terms of the other sites, last year we visited Madrid and Seville in early October and we were able to secure tickets when we were in country (either day or two before or day of).

Have a good trip,
Sandy

I have tickets for the Alhambra for November which I purchased 3 months ago. I used the official website. When I first got to the website I wasn't seeing much availability. I used the chat function and was directed to somewhere else in the official website. Very strange, but suddenly there were tickets. Chat was easy to use and I recommend it if you are having difficulties.

I did use the email address shown above. https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/en/
If I were you, I'd contact your hotel and ask them if they have ideas. Another thought would be to look for a tour. And continue to watch and check the website daily (or more often)

Thanks Jules I will do that. Chk everyday, last resort succumb to guided tour, which I avoid cause ur r at their mercy. So much use to doing on ur own.they r also very costly. I think Spain has change since last yr. Few like Sandy mentioned they didn't hv problem in Oct. This yr everything almost sold out when last minute in September we made plans thinking it is off season now. Oh boy what brain work we were subjected to get from hotels to tickets for attraction. Hope for the best, shame to leave Grnada without visiting Alhamra. No one mentioned Grenada city card?

Some folks have reported that they were able to use the Granada Card to get tickets to the Alhambra on sold-out days. I haven't not done so myself.

Mirzanx,
Unfortunately, the Granada Card will not help you now because it’s already sold out for your dates.

BTW, as you may know, October 12 is a National Holiday in Spain. We actually departed Granada on October 12, so we missed the celebrations/processions. Our hotel staff had warned us ahead of time, and the taxi was arranged to pick us up earlier than expected in order to miss the traffic due to the street closures.

Hopefully you can find a tour that includes the Nasrid Palaces.

Wishing you a wonderful trip!

P.S. For future reference only:

Alhambra tickets can be booked 3 months in advance.

Mirzanx,
I just went on the Alhambra chat and the representative I chatted with explained that tickets were all sold out but to keep checking daily. I also asked if s/he would recommend a tour operator and was given this information for the official guides of Granada:

ASOCIACIÓN DE GUÍAS INTERPRETES DEL PATRIMONIO AGIP Granada Calle López Rubio nº 8, 5º 18001 – Granada Telf.: 958 05 84 61/ 673 16 52 14 Fax: 958 058469

So, I decided to call them [011-34-958 05 84 61], and ask if they had guided tours for your dates.
The woman I spoke with explained that they had no available tours left for your dates (October 12-15) mainly because there was high demand due to the holiday weekend.
She also suggested checking the Alhambra website daily because returned tickets are usually posted every night at midnight (Spain time) --- So keep checking!

Best of luck to you!

Thanks a lot. I will just keep on checking, don't expect much as it is a holiday. If luck strikes I will get otherwise not meant to be. At least all the advise I got saved me a lot of trouble from going to other option which were there and I didn't waste my time.
If there is celebration all over the town how it is going to effect the travel from the airport to the hotel. I m arriving Grenada at 12.30 pm. Will everything be closed? If it will be than how long?As it was mentioned it is a holiday weekend.
Thanks in advance.
