Grenada- activities & meals recommendations

Hello, we are going to Grenada Aug31-sept3

I'm confused between ticket choice for the Alhambra Tour. I see the 'complete visit' and also
Dobla de Oro General - does the Dobla de Oro General include the first one & if so I assume I'll just get this one. And, can we do both in one day?
Q: My host recommended the Sazon private dining. Has anyone done this?

Q: has anyone done the baths & massages here?

Thanks for any feedback :)

Hello,

Dobla de Oro ticket is slightly more expensive, since they include some other sites in Granada, such as “el Bañuelo” (XI century arab baths), some muslim palaces,… If you are into history I would completely recommend, as it will give you another insight of the city in Muslim times.
I have done both on the same day, but you need to keep in mind that the Alhambra is huge, and could take at least 3 hours and the other buildings are spread in the old town, so you will walk a lot this day. I would probably recommend you visiting the Alhambra first and then taking a cab that drops you off on top of the Albaicin neighborhood, so you can walk down from this area to cover the Dobla de Oro buildings.

I am sorry I can’t give you any feedback about the dining, but I can really recommend you going and enjoy the hammam, which is something I have done a few times already and is really appreciated after a long day walking.

Hope it helps! :)

Nono.

This is from our trip report October 2023

Granada: We had an exceptional tour/private guide Alberto from Alhambra Tours (RS book). Great tapas experience at Les Diamontes. We also enjoyed the Arab baths and massage at Hammam Al Andalus Granada which we booked prior to the trip for a better rate.

We had dinner at Restaurante las Tomasas overlooking The Alhambra. Our reservation was for 8:00 so we were able to watch the sunset and the lights illuminating The Alhambra. It doesn’t have a set menu, so you can make your own choices. You’d want to make a reservation, note what time sunset is and make sure you ask for a table overlooking The Alhambra.

Yelp, TripAdvisor, Michelin, etc can provide good to excellent restaurant advice.
