Grenada

I am considering a day trip in early to mid March 2025 to Granada (because that is all I have), and going with an organized tour that covers at least the Alhambra. I know Grenada was hit hard by flooding in November. Has the city been able to recover sufficiently for tourist activity? I am not making light of any challenges they have had, just wondering if I should travel elsewhere.

I was in Granada November 12-15 and it seemed to be business as usual in the tourist areas. It rained one entire day and, walking down from the Alhambra, I could see how easy it would be for the drains to be overcome. The other days of my visit it was bright and sunny weather.

Hello!

I don’t know where you read that, but I can confirm that Granada has NOT being affected by any flooding lately… I live and work here (I am a tour guide at the Alhambra) and the city is doing perfectly fine, unlike some areas of Valencia, sadly.

So do not worry about this and I encourage you to visit the area in early March, which is still not that crowded and the weather is usually perfect for walking and visiting the main sites.

Kind regards.

Nono.
