Granada to Valencia - what's the best way?

Hi.
We will be flying into Seville on Dec 20. The first leg Seville-Granada is quite sorted out but we are having some problem on the next part of our trip. From Granada, how best do we get to Valencia? We would rather take train or bus and not fly. Both are quite long journeys so we are wondering if we should stop over at Cordoba (stay overnight). I've looked at train schedules and most require a transfer in Madrid.

Looking forward to your help. Thank you

It’s a train two-step in six hours for this route. Take a Renfe AVE train from Granada to Madrid Atocha for as little as $22; then another train from Madrid Atocha to Valencia in two hours for as little as $25. You can take a look at your options at www.TheTrainline. Check the Renfe website for their prices. Book up to 90 days in advance for the best fares.

Valencia's a nice city, but it ranks well behind Cordoba (and Toledo) in the tourism sweepstakes, so I think spending a night (or 2 nights) in Codoba would be a really fine idea.

I cannot recommend taking the bus from Granada to Valencia. You might get the same driver I had in 2019, who decided to make up time by taking zero comfort stops during the last 6 or 6-1/2 hours of the trip.
