What is the best way to travel from Granada to Seville. I've heard that there is no direct train or bus to Seville at this time, though the Avant train will be in operation late October. Does anyone have an update on this? We plan to travel from Granada to Seville on Nov 1. Thank you!

There are direct buses to Seville, hourly or so on Alsa, taking three hours. As well as direct regional trains taking almost 4 hours. Your call! Bus is probably best value.

Car - only if you want to spend time seeing the white hill towns, then you'd want at least 1 night en route

Take a look at the October 11 schedule (latest one posted for Friday) on Renfe.com. It appears that you will have at least a few AVE options.
