Will be traveling with 5 women from Granada to Sevilla. What is the easiest and most direct mode of transport. Car, bus or train?

My family of five is taking the bus in June. Bus is $60 for all of us and the train is $134. If you take the train, note that there is construction at Granada now and you will be bussed from Granada to Antequera, where you will then pick up a train. They have the bus schedule timed well to arrive in advance of the train, so no problems there. Just know you will have to transfer. Either option will work and they are roughly the same duration/travel time (3 - 3.20 hours).

My mom (age 88 at the time) & I took the ALSA Bus from Granada to Sevilla in October 2015.
I could have chosen to travel by train, but the bus was more direct without any need to transfer from bus to train, as explained by Nicole.
The bus ride was comfortable and scenic. The ALSA buses have A/C, some have WiFi, and all have toilets.
We took a taxi from our hotel to the bus station and arrived 30 minutes prior to bus' departure time.
Passengers start lining up in front of the bus platform prior to the bus arrival.
Everyone is in charged of loading their own luggage into the hold at the bottom of the bus prior to boarding.
You can take a personal item (purse, tote, or small day backpack) in the bus & place it on the rack overhead or under the seat.
You can eat on the bus too, so we brought a sack lunch.

The bus has always been the most efficient and even more so during the rail construction project. Lots of schedule options. Usually no need for advance purchase but if there is a specific schedule you want, I believe you can order online on the ALSA website.
A car would only be worthwhile if you intended to spend a day or two (or more) driving the region in between. And squeezing 5 people and luggage into a European car is a very tight fit.

It actually can be beneficial to buy your ALSA tickets in advance on their website. If you know when you will be traveling, you can get discount tickets by purchasing their discounted fare. Right now the first available cheap tickets are on April 19th. It will vary depending on when they sell out for each day. It just depends on whether that difference in price is worth it to you or not.
