On my last visit there in 2014, I stayed at Hotel America for a couple nights. It's no frills (literally) but right at the Alhambra and the parador. It's great for seeing the palace and if you get tired, it's only a couple minutes walk to get to your room. Buses to downtown run frequently. It isn't for everybody, but for 2 nights, we enjoyed it.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Anacapri, near Plaza Nueva.
I'd also considered staying at Hotel Hesperia Granada.
If you join their NH Rewards program, you'll receive a 5% discount on all your bookings.
We stayed at an NH hotel in Córdoba & also at one near the Madrid airport.
NH hotels offer a delicious and hearty breakfast for an extra fee.
