Granada mid range hotel suggestions

Hi, we're looking for a hotel in Granada for 3 nights in May. Don't want to pay more than 125€ per night and would like to be in the Plaza Nueva area to be close to restaurants but not far from Alhambra. Do not want to stay in the Albayzin district. Thanks for your suggestions.

This last May we stayed in Pension Landazuri which we found in the RS guidebook. Its a little ways up the hill from the Plaza Nueva in the direction of the Alhambra, and is simple, clean, and inexpensive (49euro/night). They run a small cafe next door with a cheap breakfast. Have a great trip!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Anacapri steps from Plaza Nueva.
It's a small hotel recommended in RS Spain book.

The hotel staff were friendly & helpful. Our room was simple, clean & comfortable.
We switched rooms after our first night there due to construction noise across the street ( building was getting demolished) Our second room did not face the street & it was quiet.
The hotel staff speak English.

Don't forget to book your Alhambra tickets way in advance ( 3 months in advance for best selection of desired entry time)

El Ladron de Agua is excellent. It will be on the high end of your price range, possibly over it in May (I was there in the fall, I assume it was cheaper then). If the price is right, I would highly recommend it. This is the perfect location - so even if this hotel is too pricey, look in this specific area! It is right next to Plaza Nueva, easily walkable into the Albayzin, the main downtown, and not far from the Alhambra. We walked to the Alhambra from there, but it's a steep walk. It's on Carrera de Darro, a 1 minute (literally) walk from Plaza Nueva/Plaza Santa Ana.
