We just checked in to our apartment in Granada and plan to get our tickets printed today and go to the Alhambra tomorrow, entering through the Justice gate as many have suggested. However, our host insisted that we couldn't enter through that gate with tickets, and that we must go to the main gate. Does anyone know if this is true? Has something changed? Or maybe he is mistaken?

You enter the grounds by whatever gate suits you. The tickets are for the sites within the grounds which require them.

As of June the justice gate was fine. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if this had changed in the past 3-4 months as the ticket checks are at the sights themselves - Nasrid,Alcazaba, Gardens. The areas around the justice gate are public and for this to change they would need to install ticket booths and make the area non-public. Technically possible but unlikely.
BUT FYI - ticket printing is no longer at the bookstore on Plaza Nueva. It's inside corral de carbon - there is a kiosk in a store front in the back - enter the corral and Its straight ahead of you.

That's a total lie. I entered through the Justice Gate a couple of weeks ago with tickets in hand. You can enter through the gate without a ticket if you want. You'll need the ticket only to access the Palace and other ticketed areas.

With printed tickets , you certainly can enter the Justice Gate . We did this last week for an 8:30 entrance to the Nazarid Palace . Be aware that if you arrive by bus ( C3 ) or cab , you will go to the higher entrance and reverse direction stopping at Justice on the way down , don't let that shake you .

I think your host is confusing entry with and without tickets in hand. You can only pick up tickets at the main gate, but if you pick them up earlier and have them in hand, there is no reason you cannot enter through the Justice Gate. That is exactly what we did. It was fun to see all the cats early in the morning.

Today we entered through the Justice Gates with absolutely no problem for the 8:30 AM entry to the Palace. We arrived about 8:15AM. One other couple were ahead of us when we arrived.
