I am trying to decide how many nights to stay in Granada. I will be coming from Seville and then on to Barcelona after Granada. I already have Alhambra tickets for both a day and night visit. Is 2 nights and 2 full days enough or does it require a 3rd night to cover the sites in Granada?
Two nights is enough, but I enjoyed Granada so much I could have stayed longer than the 3 nights I did. I actually liked Granada more than Barcelona or Sevilla, but to each their own.
If you have the time 3 would be better. We stayed 2 nights, but could have easily enjoyed another day in Granada.
I think two nights is plenty. The Alhambra really only takes 3-4 hours to see. Your plan is fine.
Of all my friends who have been to Spain, we all agree that Granada is one of our most favorite places in the entire country. We went for two days last time. I would have liked to stay longer. You can certainly "cover the sites" in two days; but the city itself is wonderful. I guess I'd say if you can spare the third day, I'd vote for another day in Granada.
'Is 2 nights and 2 full days enough ' - I am sure that will be adequate if you are never coming back and you have done enough research and found that which interests you. If 'THE sites' are all you want certainly.
We stayed 2 nights and stayed in the Albaicin which we loved. But we really needed 3. We had an afternoon in the Albaicin, the full day at the Alhambra (we spent 8 hours there can't imagine doing it in 3 or 4) and had dinner in the Albaicin and then were off to the train the next morning. We ended up not seeing the central sights of Granada and would have liked one more day. You can see our time in the Albaicin here; haven't posted pictures of the Alhambra yet:
