Granada hotel or apartment recommendations anyone?

We plan to stay in Granada for about 3 days in October and are looking for some place that is not too expensive. Any suggestions?

What is your idea of "not too expensive"? A budget range per night would be helpful in providing you with recommendations.

A very basic, no frills hotel, right at the Alhambra complex is Hotel America. It isn’t for everybody, but we enjoyed it for three nights in 2014. We took the bus into town evenings to go to dinner and when we wanted to walk around. Full disclosure, we had been to Granada three previous times and didn’t feel we needed to stay in town.

My husband and I are going for our first time to Spain in April. I went ahead and booked the Pension Landazuri, from the Cheap Sleeps section of Rick's Spain book. They do have a website, but you aren't able to book from their website. You can email for availability, but will have to call to book one night to hold the reservation via a phone call. My interaction from emails and calling has been very positive.

I stayed at the Hotel Puerta de las Granadas for several days a few years ago. It's on the same street that the Alhambra is on, just an uphill walk to there. The hotel was clean and close to the tourist sights in town. It's shown as a 3 star rating. Across the street is a small flamenco studio too.

We stayed at the Rick recommended Hotel Anacapri. Cheapest place we ever had our laundry done, one bag €16, all you can fit. This was in 2022 so it might be a little bit more now. Great location, we walked everywhere.

Another vote for Hotel Anacapri, conveniently located steps from Plaza Nueva.
My mom and I enjoyed our stay there back in October 2015.

We took the mini buses (purchased travel card) to the Alhambra & to visit the albaicin area, since they’re both uphill from hotel (mom was 88 at the time)

Make sure to book your Alhambra Tickets now for best time selections.

If you like ice cream/gelato, I highly recommend going to Heladería Los Italianos. As I recall, they close their doors during winter, sometime in October, so hopefully it will be open during your visit!

Wishing you a wonderful trip!

Hotel Boutique La Casa de la Trinidad Apartments (didn't stay in the actual hotel). Great location near the cathedral, front desk for easy check in and you can leave your bags there. Not fancy but comfortable and pretty quiet.

Another vote for Hotel Puerta de las Granadas. The location was super central, staff was friendly and price very reasonable. I especially liked the rooftop terrace overlooking the Alhambra.

A number of years ago I stayed at Hostal Costa Azul. I found it inexpensive, well located, and comfortable but simple.
