I'm looking to purchase the Granada card. It says it is a two day card - we would like to visit the Alhambra on the 1st day, but want to reserve our Palacios Nazaries admission for the 2nd day. Is that possible? Does a two day pass mean we can go to the Alhambra both days?
Hi!
I am afraid that this is not possible, you have to visit the Alhambra and the Nasrid Palaces on the same day.
One option that comes to my mind would be buying the Granada Card for the date you want to visit the Nasrid Palaces and then purchasing tickets just for the gardens at the official website of the Alhambra for the other date.
Regards.
Nono.
A distinction needs to be made. Anybody can visit the Alhambra complex at any time. It is free to visit. Walk up the hill and walk around the complex at your leisure. In addition to the historic site, there are a couple hotels and shops one can visit.
The ticket is for entrance to the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife gardens.
I know nothing about the two day card and how it’s used.
Thank you for your help. Here is what I found out:
- Entry to the Alhambra is not free, the best place to get tickets (both general and to the Palace) is here: https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/en/.
2.. The Granada card, even though it is listed as "2 day" only gives you entrance to the Alhambra for 1 day. To buy the Granada card go here: https://granadatur.clorian.com/en/.
Be careful of what you are led to by just googling for these tickets. It will bring up other things, like tours etc. Especially for the Alhambra entry (including the Palace), the alhambra-patronato site is the official one.
For our situation, the advice given was spot on: Granada card plus Alhambra entry. Buying the two day Granada card with our Palace entry on day 2 allows us to visit all the other included attractions plus take advantage of the extras (bus, etc) starting on day 1. We then bought just the Alhambra entrance ($10 each) for day 1, which will allow us to attend a concert within the complex that day.
