I will be spending 2 days in Granada and 2 days in Seville. What are you thoughts on taking a day trip to Córdoba?
Do a day trip from Seville to Cordoba much shorter travel distance then from Granada. From Granada you have the option to do day trips to either Nerja, Malaga, or Marbella. Distances are short from Granada to these 3 towns.
Córdoba is on the rail line to Madrid from both of these cities. If you’re traveling to/from Madrid it’s easy. You can see the Mezquita and the old center in a few hours, then continue on. Two days is not a lot of time to see Sevilla or Granada on their own, so I would not spend that time on a separate side trip to Córdoba if it’s not on the way.
I don’t think you have time for a side trip. Ideally, Seville would be 3 full days and Granada 2 full days.
I agree with Jennifer, leave Córdoba for another trip. The time you have is barely enough to see Granada and Sevilla.
2 days each or 2 nights each? 2 nights each gives you about 1-1/2 days in each, not enough time for day tripping.
Agree its not long enough for either let alone Cordoba. On the other hand, the Mezquita shouldn't be missed if this is maybe the only chance you'll have to see it. I'll go with cutting cutting a day from Granada leaving one day there for the Alhambra.
I am torn with what I want to suggest. First, I don't even think you have enough time for Sevilla. Yet, Cordoba was one of my favorite cities. The Mezquita is incredible but Cordoba is so much more. I think if you are going to try to do all this, you should purchase tickets in advance for the Alhambra (of course) and the Alcazar in Sevilla. You will also need a strategy for seeing the Sevilla cathedral. I would get to the CHurch of the Savior about 10 minutes before opening to purchase the combo ticket for the cathedral. I don't know when you are visiting, but right now, its a bit convoluted to get to Cordoba from Granada via train.
