Anyone have a recommendation for one in Malaga to get some fresh veggies, fruit, meat and seafood. Something other than an Aldi or supermarket.
Markets in Spain tend to be held on specific days rather that every day of the week, what day are you flying in to Malaga?
Also, where is your timeshare. We have one in Estepona and also one in Mallorca and there are good local markets in both locations during the course of a week. As such it's usually easier for us to shop at a local market rather than drive into Malaga from the airport and then head out to the resort.
Larger cities like Malaga have markets that are open daily. You may be looking for one like Mercado Central de Atarazanas. There are a number in the city. From Google maps type “Mercado, Malaga” and a number will show up. You can select one near where you’re staying.
Also, the larger stores like El Corte Inglés, Mercadona, and Carrefour have market departments in them that sell fresh everything.
I’m assuming that you’re staying in the city and not a small town someplace in the province.
Most likely they were in Mercado Central Atarazanas, the main market in Malaga, which has everything you mention. There are a couple other smaller traditional food markets in other neighborhoods as well. Most of these markets are open daily, except Sunday.
You might search for different markets, if you will have the car, parking may be an issue some places, or at least some more convenient for a car, or closer to your timeshare.
