Hi all. We will be needing to get from the Sagrada Familia area in Barcelona to the airport with an arrival time at the airport of approximately 5:00 AM. does anyone have any advice on how to do this?
At those hours you're very likely to find a taxi in the street, just hail one when they pass by (it has to have the green pilot on the roof on). Given the area, I doubt you'll have to wait more than say 15' to see one. Also there's a taxi rank at Sagrada Família. Alternatively, if you prefer to pre-book the night before... some taxi companies (in random order!): Taxi Class Rent tel.933070707 www.taxiclassrent.com ||| Barnataxi tel. 933222222 www.barnataxi.com ||| Ràdio Taxi 033 tel.933033033 www.radiotaxi033.com ||| Servi-Taxi tel.933 300 300 www.servitaxi.com ||| Taxi Ecològic tel.932783000 http://taxiecologic.com ||| Taxi Amic tel.934208088 www.taxi-amic-adaptat.com ||| Fono-Taxi tel.933001100 http://www.fonotaxi.net/
Metro opens at 5am, same than Aerobus -which btw departs from Plaça Catalunya, a bit far from your hotel/apt.
Thank you, Enric! After reading some other topics I have to admit I was hoping you would reply to my question. I had thought a taxi would be the best option but was not sure how easy it would be to find one so early. Thanks again!
My pleasure. Have a nice trip and enjoy your stay... Don't forget to check http://lameva.barcelona.cat/en to check the activities happening in the city when you visit.
In any case, re:taxi, don't play it too thin... sometimes those 15' can turn into more :))
In February, I took a taxi on Saturday night, around 7 p.m. My hotel ordered it for me earlier in the day. €40.
When I have such an early departure, I actually always try to stay at the airport with a shuttle. I get more sleep that way. I am researching the hotels right now at the airport. Enjoy your adventure.
