How do I get from Seville to Cadiz on 26th Dec 2024 and back to Seville Airport on 2nd Jan 2025. All the timetables train and bus show nothing running!
Hi Jarrett, I traveled Spain this year and last during slow travel periods of February and March. I found the train system to be booked out surprisingly often including your Seville-Cadiz route. You’re traveling at high peak travel for tourists and locals alike. It looks like you might be out of luck all ready with tickets sold out.
Do try to search from Seville-San Bernardo station as well as Seville-Sant Justa. Many of the Cadiz trains depart from there. San Bernardo is much easier to access too since it right at the end of the tram line.
Still up a creek? FlixBus runs multiple buses a day from Seville to Jerez de la Frontera. From Jerez, there are local buses to Cadiz, grab a taxi, or call Uber for the last leg to Cadiz. I wouldn’t wait to buy up bus tickets though. Feliz Navidad.
I see 2 or 3 trains a day in late December on renfe.com. What's odd is that nearly all of them are marked "Full". That seems unlikely, so I wonder whether Renfe is just in the process of loading the schedule for the period after the annual early-December update. Perhaps it's loaded in two chunks, first the schedule itself and then, separately, the ticket prices.
I'd keep checking very frequently, because I expect all will be revealed soon.
The Comes company runs buses on that route. You can find the schedule on its website, https://www.tgcomes.es/consulta-los-horarios/. I don't know whether there are additional companies serving that route.
We travel by Comes buses between Seville and Cadiz. As mentioned they depart from Prado de San Sebastian bus station. Comes buses can only be booked 14 days prior to travel. The buses are more frequent and cheaper than the trains. The site acraven has suggested will show that the buses are currently open for bookings to 30 November. We usually head to Prado de San Sebastian bus station on arrival in Seville to buy our tickets.
We are generally in Seville, Cadiz in December. The trains and buses are packed. There aren’t many trains between Seville and Cadiz. The Renfe site can be hit and miss at times, but for these dates the trains are probably sold out.
If you haven’t been to Seville or Cadiz at xmas you’re in for a treat with the xmas decorations
Thanks Everyone. Have a good Christmas
