We want to rent a car in Girona for a day and the prices with the usual companies are over $200 USD. I found Ganxo’s price is about half. They deliver and pick up the car from your place. Read some reviews where they don’t show up on time for pickup. Anyone has experience using Ganxo Rent a Car? Thanks,
No idea where you’re looking, but that is high. I checked a random one day rental in April, picking up at the airport and a midsize SUV was a low as $105 through Avis. With taxes it was $127. Europcar was a little more.
Picking up at the train station, a midsize SUV through Alamo was $83.
Knowing your rental dates, automatic/manual, and class vehicle would be nice so there can be an apples to apples comparison.
I’m looking for a compact car with full insurance/no deductible. -what they call sin franquicia-
With full coverage/zero deductible, windscreen and theft protection the amount you mentioned is about right. I usually rent through Enterprise so have no first hand knowledge of Ganxo.
I have rented with Ganxo and they both delivered the car directly to my hotel and picked it up as well. Not only was Ganxo’s rated a deal at under €100 per day, the service was excellent and the company also offered full comprehensive insurance coverage for less than €15 per day.
That said, you can also rent a car at Girona’s train station through the car rental consolidator called “Auto Europe.” Auto Europe substantially discounts the car the rental rates below what the rental agencies themselves offer on their websites. The agencies operating out of the Girona train include Avis, Hertz, Budget, Dollar, Alamo and others.
