It is at the beginner's level. For example, Lesson 3 focused on numbers 1 - 21. The lessons are incorporated into a continuing story of 52 episodes. The videos are free. But you can get the companion textbook and workbook.

I used to use that series for listening comprehension when I taught Spanish. The series is good for learning some basics.

I was amused to see that it features the accents of "Mexico, Spain, Argentina, and Puerto Rico." That's like an English teaching video that features the accents of Australia, Scotland, Ireland, and the US! It sure covers a lot of bases - but would be hard for a beginner, because they're so different.

Try Que Hora Es! on you tube. It's a teacher in Atlanta with 22 episodes. Very good lessons.
