I have a very fleeting understanding of this but wanted to share since I think a lot of people arriving for RS Andalusia tours come into Malaga first. I have been watching these trains as I have ticket for April 5th. My train is not showing as cancelled but it's also not a train departure that's on the schedule anymore.
Today, I saw a new article about repair time estimate. The original plan was to have the line open by March 23rd - in time for Semana Santa. But today's article indicates a new timeline of the end of April.
Here's the article: https://www.theolivepress.es/spain-news/2026/03/17/high-speed-rail-connection-will-not-be-repaired-in-time-for-malaga-semana-santa/
There is some bus/train connection service between Malaga and Cordoba but it definitely takes a lot longer than the 47 minute high speed train that's not running.
