It appears the monastery basilica at Montserrat is only open on the weekends after October 15. We will be in that area October 25. Is it possible to still ride the gondola to the monastery and then the funicular on to the top of the mountain?
As far as I can tell, the rack railway is operating then: https://www.cremallerademontserrat.cat/en/rack-railway/timetable-prices/
and it looks like the cable car is, too: https://www.montserrat-tourist-guide.com/en/transport/cable-car-montserrat.html
It looks like the funicular that goes further up the mountain is operating only on weekends, but the one that goes a little further down is operating every day. https://vol.cremallerademontserrat.cat/funiculars-railway?___store=cremallerademontserrat_en&___from_store=cremallerademontserrat_ca
For what it's worth, the upper one wasn't operating when we were there, and Montserrat was still one of my very favourite sights ever.
Gloria- can you tell me where you found that information that it is only open on weekends? I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere.
I'd love to confirm that as we are going to be in the area in December, and I want to plan accordingly to make sure we don't miss it.
