Myself, wife, 17 year old son, 9 year old daughter will be driving from Barcelona to Perepetuse France (Cather Castles) and wondered if for this leg it makes sense to stay off of the tollway and to drive along Spanish coast for the views primarily and if so can you recommend any route and any cool Spanish towns that are worth having a quick stop at to do a quick explore and maybe grab some food at a restaurant. Any help on scenic route views, cool towns to quickly see or at least drive thru, restaurants in towns or food specialties at restaurants in Spanish coastal towns would be appreciated. Once we are done with that leg of the trip it will be back on the European tollways for the remainder of our 2 week trip by car, so thought this maybe the 1 and only time to drive on non European till roads knowing it will take us longer to get from point A to point B.
