Friday to Tuesday in Madrid

Hi. Planning a trip in the summer and we are stopping in Madrid :) (hot hot hot) We get there friday and leave tuesday. We plan to see madrid the day we arrive and the another full day, because we want to do day trips to Toledo and Segovia. So, how to plan what day to stay in Madrid and what days to do the day trips.
We have Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

P.S. second time in madrid, thats why we are just doing one full day there.

Well, if you want to get a really early start to Toledo, you'll have to go on Monday. On weekends, the first train from Atocha is at 8.50, arriving at 9.23. Other than that, it may not matter. Personally, I wouldn't want to take 2 day trips in a row.

I think an 09:23 arrival in Toledo is fine. Head there on Saturday and Segovia on Monday. The alcazar is open in Segovia on a Monday, so the day is unaffected by major closures.
