Hi! My wife and I will be in San Sebastian and we want to spend a day nearby in France but we’re unsure as to an itinerary for the day.
We're thinking of heading to Saint Jean de Luz and then inland in search of some pretty little towns but I'm open to any suggestions.
That is a gorgeous area, but it will be a long day if you include St Jan de Luz AND a few of the towns, like Espelette.
Will you have a rental car? I do know a well-regarded guide/driver, if you are interested:
I responded to the post on the France forum.
Yes, this would work out fine. The small towns like Sara, Espellette, etc are close to each other and there’s not much to do so you can spin through them after lunch. I would recommend going to st Jean de luz first to get a parking spot in the lot.
On the way back home I recommend this place for dinner https://www.arroenia.com/
