We will have a car and want to explore the Andalusian villages between Seville and Granada. Should we stay somewhere new every night or have a home base? If a home base, where?we already have booked three nights in Seville. Have heard great things about Arcos, Ronda, Córdoba.we have four nights for our village roaming .

I would add a day to Sevilla and make a day excursion to Cordoba - AVE train is easiest.
With a car I would drive to Jerez and then on to Arcos de la Frontera for the first night.
Following on to Ronda for 2 nights, using the interim day to make a circuit - Zahara de la Sierra, Grazalema and Olvera.

No way. The Alhambra is the top of the list 'must do' in all of Spain. Book well ahead.
