My husband and I will be visiting Madrid for the first time at the end of February and we'd love to take an evening food tour. I can't find a Madrid recommendation for this in Rick's "Spain" guide book, so I'll ask you folks: Have any of you recently taken a great food tour in Madrid? If you have, please let me know what company asap so I can book two spots. Muchas gracias!
We are signed up for Devour Madrid in a couple of weeks . I just chose the one that had more foods I want to try.
We did a food tour with Walk and Eat Spain. It was very good.
We did a Madrid food tour with Devour a few years ago. It was fantastic BUT it was Christmas -time and extremely crowded (not the group itself, but in the squares.) At one point going to a new restaurant I got separated from the group. My husband had to borrow a phone from another group member to call me and tell me where they were! It was frustrating and I wished the tour leader had some kind of tall hat or flag while going through the crowds. However I imagine these kinds of crowds were an exception since it was the height of the Christmas/New Year's holiday week. Otherwise it was perfect. We went to interesting places and enjoyed delicious foods.
