Flying Vueling from Galicia to Barcelona

We will be leaving Santiago de Compostela or Ourense on May 1st or 2nd to meet RS tour in Barcelona. I'm worried about Vueling's carry-on restrictions re: personal bag. I re-read their rules and our primary carry-on has to be stored under the seat but it's unclear about the SIZE restriction for our "personal" bag. We'll each have a cross-body bag but fear Vueling will reject it! Does anyone have experience with flying with Vueling??

Thanks in advance!

I don’t believe that you get a “personal item”. Many of the discount carriers in europe do not allow a separate “personal item”.

I don’t see any mention of a separate personal item. I see one underseat bag that is 40 x 20 x 30 cm.

You can pay extra for a carry-on in the overhead bin.

When I flew Vueling, I paid to check a bag and put my purse in my daypack.

p.s. If you want to carry a separate cross body bag, then pay extra in advance so you can store your other bag in the overhead and put the crossbody bag under the seat. They will charge more at the airport than if you pay it online in advance.

Hmm, this particular flight said NO overhead storage available. Thanks for the tips! We’ll pay online to check in our bags rather than take any risks at the airport. Sincerely grateful to all of you for sharing!!

We just flew with Vueling from Barcelona to and had no issues at all with underseat storage. I had a purse and backpack (not stuffed full) and my husband had a computer bag. We did not do above seat storage but had checked bags. The dimensions quoted above are correct for under seat storage.

Many thanks for your report! We paid Vueling’s checkin fee as advised. Leave tomorrow - Yaaaay!!!
