Flying into Barcelona and out of Madrid--Recommendations?

Hi all! I have 13 days to travel in Spain-- flying into Barcelona and out of Madrid. I would love to see 2 or 3 other cities/areas between Barcelona and Madrid. In considering travel time, I would love to hear your itineraries or thoughts. I have heard wonderful things about Granada and Seville, but I am open! Thanks in advance!

This is my initial thought, with taking trains.

Barcelona April 26th, leave the 30th
Madrid April 30th, leave May 3rd
Granada May 3rd, leave May 6th
Seville May 6th, leave May 9th
Madrid May 9th, fly home May 10th

The issue is MAD to BCN is on a high-speed line, so the most efficient thing is to take that between them, unless you want to stop in Zaragoza. So, what a lot of people do is plan day trips from both cities, or you can do side trip excursions from both cities, but you will not necessarily be stopping in between. To go to Granada, you will pass through Madrid if you go by train (some fly).
With day trips, those three would be plenty for 13 days, but depending on the pace you enjoy, you could add a stop in Sevilla, Cordoba. I find it can get overwhelming if you try to pair Andalucia with Barcelona, but it is done. The options are dizzying at this stage, but once you do some reading, something should rise to the top as most compelling to you. Good luck!

Why are you going from Barcelona to Madrid, then leaving for other cities and ending up in Madrid. That's not very efficient. I would probably fly to Granada from Barcelona, then train to Sevilla and end up in Madrid to spend the last several days.

For our upcoming trip we are flying to BCN, taking train to Seville, bus to Granada (no direct train that day), train to Corboba, train to Madrid. We think the train ride BCN to Seville will be more relaxing than flying.

Thank you! I do worry I am shoving too much into 13 days, and considering dropping Seville, however I have heard so many good things about Seville! I am so conflicted. I don't want to be on a train or plane the entire time...

If anyone has thoughts around Seville vs. Granada, I would appreciate it!
