First trip to Ibiza/ What area to stay in?

Hello,
My friend and I are traveling to Ibiza in April and we are looking to spend our days laying on the beautiful beaches ibiza has to offer. We want to get an Air bnb but are unsure what part of the island to stay in? It will be my birthday so we are looking to go out at night and experience the famous clubs. Again, we would like to stay somewhere close to a beach and night life. What area should we look for a place in and any good recommendations on beaches? If you know of a secret beach, would love to hear about that as well.
Thanks

Whilst it's been some years since I was last in Ibiza the general areas are still the same.

San Antonio is the notorious part which is where you will find the majority of British youngsters being herded from bar to bar and drinking far more than they should. Cue all the accompanying cringeworthy behaviour. As a lad in my early twenties me and my mates always made a point of going to San Antonio one night during our week to remind ourselves never to book a hotel there.

Playa d'en Bossa is a more family oriented resort area and the place where I have always stayed. There are some good beaches there and Ibiza Town is within walking distance.

Ibiza Town is nice and historic but can be pricey. It also lacks decent beaches. However the nightlife is the best on the island, very cosmopolitan, gay friendly and a stark contrast to San Antonio.

Santa Eulalia is the quieter part of the island and isn't somewhere where I've been.

Air BnB doesn't offer much to choose from but in April the rates aren't bad.

The problem with going to Ibiza in April is that it's out of season. It's not likely to be beach weather, the average temperature is about 16c. You're also going to miss out on the clubs, the big ones don't open until May at the earliest with many opening in June. July, August and September are the months to visit Ibiza for the nightlife. The tourists aren't really going to be there, at least not the ones that make the nightlife so fantastic so whilst April can be a nice time to visit the island it isn't going to be the right time to experience the island for what makes it so famous.

So could we get an air bnb somewhere close to Ibiza town and get around easily? Like maybe take a car from where we are staying to San Antonio or is there some form of public transportation?

Getting around the island is easy. There is a bus between Ibiza Town and San Antonio that takes around 30 minutes plus there's the option of taxis.

Ibiza Town really is the best option for nightlife in April. Pacha will be open, it's a great club and probably my favourite on the island plus there will be a lot more bars and restaurants open as that is primarily where the locals go. San Antonio will be pretty quiet as the tourists aren't there. The opening parties for the likes of Amnesia, Privilege etc are at the end of May although I believe Bora Bora opens at the end of April.

My advice is to look for accommodation in or near Ibiza Town and centre your nightlife around there. San Antonio is a dump really and in April it's going to be pretty depressing, you won't be missing out by focusing on Ibiza Town.
