We are heading to Madrid the scond week of September. We are looking at booking a day trip to Toledo. Has anyone been to Toledo since the fires last month? We don't want to impose if there is a lot of damage. Thanks in advance.

Not been there, but ...
There is no damage in Toledo city, except one house yesterday (kitchen fire)
The wildfires remained 80 km away from the city of Toledo.

The current large fires, as already stated, are not near Toledo. Nobody can predict what the situation will be like next month.
