We just arrived in Segovia staying for three nights as part of a 20 day trip. I began planning our trip to Spain in December - it’s great to be finally here after all the planning, researching etc. I thought it might be fun to ask others who are in Spain during this same period to offer any real time tips and ideas - did you eat someplace great yesterday? Would you recommend a bar that you came upon that wasn’t in the guidebook? Something spontaneous that you did that you would recommend? This forum is used for planning and post trip reports - thought it might be fun to see who is in Spain now that would like to share ideas, suggestions , cautions etc.to those of us who are here now.
The menu del dia has been great for us. Pintxos in la Rioja are ubiquitous and delicious. I have seen zero tip prompts on credit card transactions and no locals leaving cash tips.We don’t really use guide book recommendations for restaurants. As you probably know October 12 is a national holiday/3 day weekend…crazy busy. Return to normal mañana. Took a meuseum tour in Spanish, that was good.
Having a great time in green Spain. Enjoy your travels
Brad
