Figueres to Port Ligat

We have reservations to visit the Dahli museum in Figures August 23 at 9:00 and the Dahli House at 15:10. We're planning on taking the 34253 train from Barcelona to Figueres-Vilafnat. We had planned originally to take the bus from Figueres to Cadaques then walk to Port Ligat. However, my wife injured her ankle recently and the walk from the Cadaques bus stop to the Port Ligat site may be too much. She could probably walk on "even" pavement for what looks like a 3500 foot distance, but if it is hilly or cobble-like it could be a problem (particularly the walk back to the bus). A brief search indicated taxis are available in Cadaquest (at least there is a phone number Cadaqués Tel: 626526832). My question is are they readily available (without a reservation) to get from and back to the Bus Stop from Port Ligat? As an alternative, can one rent a "Vespa" or some other mode of transportation to get to/from Port Ligat other than walking? I suppose we could rent a car in Figueres, but we would prefer to avoid this.

Another question, with a 15:10 reservation at the Dahli house, will there be buses running from Cadaques to Figueres 17:00 or so in the afternoon? If so, how often? If not, then renting a care may be our only option.

Not necessarily this time of the year. Pre-book in advance.

Vespa: that could be a nice solution... http://rentabit.net/ or https://www.cadaquesrent.es/en/ (yeah they "also" rent scooters!). Yet, have you ever ridden one before? It's nothing "like riding a bicycle", especially carrying someone else in the back -this coming from a Vespa rider myself!- and you don't want to fall or have an accident, right?

As per the walk, it's not "on cobble-like" streets, albeit there's a gentle slope... so you know: http://bit.ly/2uQb768

This is the schedule for the buses from Cadaqués to Figueres station (in the centre of Figueres): https://www.moventis.es/ca/tabla-horaria#trayecto/84/51/20170724 Do check anyway for your specific date: https://www.moventis.es/ca/linies-horaris/figueres-costa-brava-nord -scroll down and choose the Cadaqués>Roses>Figueres bus.

Note that from the Figueres train station in the centre you can only take slow commuter trains back to Barcelona: there are quite a few and they run until 8:50pm, so you need to hurry from the bus to the train! But it takes 2h to Barcelona. Check here: www.rodalies.tk If you prefer the fast train, you'll need to take a taxi to the other station, Figueres-Vilafant, located 2k away, on the outskirts of the city. The last train departs at 9.49 and it takes only 1h to Barcelona. Check schedules here: www.renfe.com You can also pre-purchase this sort of tickets.

Enjoy!
