Feria in Seville

We are arriving in Seville on the last weekend of the festival, has anyone been in Seville during this most popular festival?

We were there for the first three days of the Feria a few years ago. It was wonderful---seeing all the carriages and riders and beautiful horses. We never went in the evening or tried to get into one of the tents; it was very easy to find dinner in the city because most of the locals were out at the fairgrounds. Everyone was in a festive mood the whole time, so it was lots of fun.

I studied abroad in Sevilla and was there for the week of Feria. It's a lot of fun, especially if you can do any Spanish dancing! The fairgrounds are in one part of the city so it's definitely possible to avoid it if you don't feel like being amongst the crowds, but I would recommend going there at least once during the day (when you can see the horses and all the children dressed up) and once at night (when everyone is partying and dancing). There are tents set up throughout, some of which you have to know someone to get into, or pay for, but there are plenty that are free to enter where you can watch the dancing and maybe even get some wine.

Enjoy!
