The plan is to fly from Bologna to Seville in early February, after spending a few days in Venice during Carnivale and then fly home 2-2.5 weeks later from Barcelona. This will be my second trip to Spain and I plan to combine new sites with repeat visits. My current idea is to start in Seville, visit a few places in Andalusia then go Toledo and then Madrid, then Barcelona.
I'll probably rent a car in Seville, to revisit Ronda and spend a day in Antequera. Maybe down to Marbella. I've been to Jerez, Arcos, Cadiz and Granada. Any other suggestions? Probably head to Cordoba (by train) after returning the car (wherever), and from there to Toledo.
How many days/nights in Toledo? First time. I'm thinking 1 or 2 nights, with a small overnight bag, leaving my suitcase in Atocha station.
What do see/do in and around Madrid? On my list are the Prado and Thyssen-Bornamisza, the Maritime Museum (been to the Palace). Any other ideas? What about day trips in February?
