Hello,
We are planning a trip to Andalusia in August - first time in this region, so thinking Seville, Granada, day trip Cordoba, fly in and out of Madrid. We have 9 or 10 nights. We were thinking of mid-August, which happens to be the week of the Feast of the Assumption - seems to be a big deal in Madrid and Seville (and perhaps all Spain). On the one hand, this is exciting - we've never planned a travel based on a festival, but love it when we stumble across an event. On the other hand, this festival might equal crowds and closed museums/sites, which is our primary goal for visiting.
Has anyone experienced this festival - any thoughts on whether it would be a fun addition to our trip or a barrier to seeing the main sites?
thanks!
Joy
